A part of history

Many years ago, around 1984 (being a pupil in elementary school) while recovering from an illness with high fever, that kept me in bed for days, I recall a scene while being in bed:
- Mum muuum !
- Yes dear !
- Please bring me a slice of bread dipped - or even better soaked in olive oil !
This was the first time -that I can recall- where the olive oil came as a complete, exclusive and autonomous need to my taste.

Its aroma and its pungency of that olive oil are still in my mind, and while being trained to become a member in the under establishment (back in 2010) taste panel of TEI of Peloponnese, I remember smiling and recalling the affection of my mum mixed with the aromas of that olive oil while tasting some nice or excellent olive oils from around Greece.

A journey. A journey with friends that share the same affection to olive oil. A journey that starts with the first smell, the first sip, that drives you to a mountainous sunny area, or to a warm valley full of flowers, or just in front to a well baked toast with a high quality butter hidding.

This is what I 'm planning to do here. To take some friends to this extraordinary journey with me, and talk about tasting olive oil experiences, with respect to every each one of you.
Welcome and enjoy!
